Volunteer With Us
We need volunteers. Any amount of time helps!
You can give a few hours a month, or just a few hours a year. Both are helpful. Volunteers can help during the school day, help at after-school events, or prepare materials at home.
You do not need to be a parent to volunteer. Family members and community members are welcome too. Every bit of help makes a difference.

Volunteer Opportunities
Friday, Sept 25 | Ice Cream Social | 4:30-6:30, 30 minute slots | Help us set up, scoop, and pass out ice cream
Friday, Oct 2 | Popcorn Friday | 9:30-12:30, 1 hour slots | Help us bag and pass out popcorn to all classroom
In-School Volunteer Opportunities
To volunteer in the school or chaperone a field trip, you must complete these 2 steps with the school district:
One time: Watch and then take the volunteer training video and quiz
Every year: Complete the Annual Registration Form
Popcorn Friday
Pop, bag, and deliver popcorn to classrooms on the first Friday of each month.
Picture Day
Extra hands help picture day goes smoothly so everyone can look their best
Teacher’s Lounge Coffee Bar
Keep the coffee bar in the Teacher’s Lounge stocked every month
Move-a-Thon Fundraiser
Help with one of our biggest fundraisers of the year! Punch lap cards, hand out water, and help set up or clean up.
Outdoor Clean Up Days
Help keep Skillin beautiful with raking, planting, and upkeeping the Learning Gardens.
Lost & Found
Help organize the lost and found by folding and hanging lost items
After School Volunteer Opportunities
Family Nights
Help set up, manage an activity, or clean up at one of our Family Nights in the Skillin Gym in the Fall or the Spring
Ice Cream Social
Help scoop ice cream at Ice Cream Social as we kick off the school year
Maine Mariner’s Concession Stand
Help us run one of the concession stands at a Maine Mariner’s game to raise money for the Skillin School PTA
