Decision Made: Reconfiguration is Paused

Last Wednesday, the School Board re-voted to pause elementary school reconfiguration, meaning it will not take place during the upcoming 2026–27 school year. The earliest reconfiguration could occur is 2027–28.

The closure of Kaler will proceed as planned. Affected families will receive new school assignments shortly.

What’s Happens Next

The school district has formed a Reconfiguration Steering Committee made up of staff, board members, and a community representative from each school. The group will meet throughout the spring and summer to plan and guide the reconfiguration process.
